Houdini | 3D Generative Design
With the evolution of computer computing power and the popularity of 3D software, more and more designers use 3D software and GPU rendering to produce more amazing visual works. Houdini is one of the most difficult 3D softwares to master, but it fascinates me because of its procedural nature. Through a combination of procedural modeling and algorithmic design, Houdini enables artists to create unique abstract art works and simulation-generated visuals, as opposed to traditional 3D modeling or game engines that rely almost entirely on code.
Generative Visual Diary is a record of my learning of this tool and generative design, as well as my exploration of new visual expressions.
